We tried to anticipate your questions but if we missed one, please feel free to reach out to us!

Do guardians have to stay?

Parents and guardians are not required to stay with their children during art class, though you are welcome to observe if you’d like. All we ask is that you let the kids make and explore on their own – this is their time to let their imaginations run wild! We always keep a pot of coffee at the ready for parents who want to take a little break of their own.

Class Cash

Class Cash works just like a gift card. It can be purchased in your name, or in the name of a someone else if you’d like to give it as a gift. Transferable between immediate family members, Class Cash offers flexibility for siblings to sign up for the right workshop for their age without having to commit to a full session or season. Class Cash can also be shared with friends as long as a member of the purchasing family is present.

Class Cash may be used to purchase a session or a season of classes with associated pricing (see tables below), however, for those students signing up for one class at a time, full price applies.

Per California state law, your Class Cash never expires, but we strongly encourage you to use it in the first year for the best availability of classes. Being a small studio, we try to keep our classes full and Class Cash purchases are factored into our annual planning. That said, we want everyone making art every day, so we will work with you find an available spot! If you’re interested in reserving a spot in one of our classes, contact us for availability and enrollment.

Are you a “real” business?

Yes! We may offer a home-based art experience with a casual next-door-neighbor kind of feel, but rest assured, we are a fully insured, licensed, and legal business recognized by the state of California. If you’d like more information on our structure or have other business-related questions, please feel free to contact us.

Copyright and Reposting

Everything you see posted here on Dancing Crayons Workshop is copyright and owned by Dancing Crayons Workshop unless otherwise stated (click here to view our list of references). We would be completely honored to have you share our images, all we ask is that you ask first and provide a link back so we receive credit for all the hard work we put into our lessons. For lessons posted with instructions, we provide social media friendly, downloadable PDFs for your convenience and ask that you not copy and paste.

Refunds & Cancellation

Given the small class size we offer our students, every spot is important. For this reason, we strive to maintain a full roster. Full refunds are extended to students who cancel within one week of the session start date. For cancellations received after this date, a 75% refund will be offered until the start of the session. No refunds are offered after this date.

Sick Policy

Life happens, we get it. We have children who go to school and also get snotted all over on a regular basis. Odds are, they’re going to get sick eventually. Every enrolled student is allowed to attend our open studio hours for the duration of their missed class. Open studio hours are held twice a month (usually). Please consult the calendar for the date that best suits your schedule and let us know.

How Do I Make a Payment?

Payment in full, for a class, session, or season is due upon enrollment and may be made by cash, check, credit card, or Class Cash. We use Square to process credit card payments and are happy to offer a 5% discount for students who wish to remain continually enrolled and elect to use autopay (processed monthly). Contact Us for access to an online portal for processing credit card payments.
